As part of the mandate by the Municipal Chief Executive to engage the communities under the municipalities, a town hall meeting has been held at Mansin community, a town in the Tano South Municipality. This community engagement was to sensitize the stakeholders on the fee fixing resolution, educate them on the medium term development plan and the function of the PRCC.
The Hon. Chief Executive, Hon. Collins Offinam Takyi together with various heads of department attended this community engagement. He addressed most of the issues and concerns raised by the community, i.e. the assembly members and some stakeholders, assuring them of the assembly’s continual support to the community.
He also edged them to also do their best in own little way to also develop the community. Partisan politics should be sidelined when dealing with issues pertaining to the development of the community, he added.
In addition, the Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. Felix Ofori also presented the current fee fixing resolution to them. He also explained to them the need to pay appropriate fee, rate, license to the assembly.
The meeting ended with an education from the Immigration Command in the Tano South Municipal on “When you see something, say something”.
