Tano South Municipal Assembly has inaugurated its Districts Roads Improvement Programme (DRIP) to facilitate roads construction to enhance transportation of goods and services within and beyond the Municipality. The inauguration of the equipment, will serve as a game changer that will help farmers in the community to cart their products to the marker centres.
In his speech at the inauguration, the MCE for Tano South, Hon. Collins Offinam Takyi said the equipment will help to eliminate huge expenditure incurred on road maintenance by the Assembly over the years. He also disclosed that there will be no more complains and demonstrations from some residence especially the youth on bad roads.
Hon. Takyi called on operators of the equipment to take good care of the machines to help serve the needed purpose for which the equipment were supplied by the government.
He called on all and sundry especially eligible voters in the Tano South Constituency to reward the president by voting massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the President and Dr. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere as member of
Parliament to enable them continue the implantation of their good policies and programs to enhance socio-economic development of the country.
In a short but impressive speech, the member of parliament for Tano South; Hon. Dr. Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere, expressed his gratitude to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their visionary leadership that had given birth to the DRIP equipment for the maintenance of roads in the municipality, and called on all of the supporters of the party to rally behind the party and vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Yeboah Sekyere in the December Election.
Hon. Sekyere charged the Assembly to tighten security and guard against thievery of the DRIP equipment, so that the communities in the municipality whose roads are in deplorable states could be constructed. He called on the rank and file of the party to team up with the party executives to work extra hard to enable Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to win massively in the constituency.
He called on the machine operators to own the equipment by taking good care of them so that the residents will reap maximum benefits from the equipment.
The Queen Mother of Bechem traditional area Nana Adwoa Po Dwamena Serwaa II thanked the government and the Vice-President and edged the Tano South Municipal Assembly to adopt effective ways to increase revenue collection to help by fuel for the machines at all times.
