As a follow up to the Ghana Productive Safety Net Project (GPSNP), Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD), DCACT, Local Economic Development (LED) and all other government Flagship Projects, the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim paid a one-day monitoring visit to the Tano South Municipal.
This was to monitor the level of implementation and to address concerns that affects the smooth implementation of the projects/programmes. He said that, this was the first phase for those programmes especially the GPSNP and the level of implementation within the municipality will determine whether the municipal would be added to the next phase.
Accordingly, all heads of department of the decentralized department, Agric, Health and Education gave a power point presentation on other activities to the minister.
The Hon. Deputy minister was impressed with the presentation from the various heads of department and urged them to continue with the good work. He added that all challenges have been duly noted and they will be addressed at the appropriate time to ensure the smooth implementation of all the projects especially the flagship programmes by the government.
