Assembly Donates 1,086 Dual Desks to Municipal Education Directorate

The Government through the Tano South Municipal Assembly has procured 1,086 pieces of dual desk and handled them to the Tano South Municipal Education Directorate for further distribution to the schools in need. This was to help curb the challenges some of the schools in the municipality.

The Municipal Chief Director, Hon. Collins Offinam Takyi in his presentation indicated that, the 1,086 dual desks were procured through the usage of the Assembly share of the District Performance Assessment Tool (D-PAT). He further continued that, the D-PAT programme has helped the Assembly to embark on many projects and many activities in other sectors including health.

Madam, Lucy Ama Ankrah, the Regional Education Director received the desks and showed her appreciation to the Assembly for their kind gesture. She continued that, the desks have come at the right time to address some teaching and learning problems which have existed in the public schools especially in this era of COVID-19 where social distance is paramount. She also pledged to take care of them and share them accordingly.

In attendance was also Mr. Asare Antwi (Presiding Member), Mad. Mable Botokro (Municipal Education Director), Mr. Anthony Owusu-Amoako (Municipal Coordinating Director), Nana Opoku Agyemang (Bechem Traditional Council) and some heads of Department of the Assembly.
